Each March, the Officers and Regional Directors of PACM meet in Harrisburg to evaluate the organization and establish a Strategic Plan that sets our goals and objectives for the coming year.
Part of the Strategic Planning process requires us to develop a Mission Statement and Vision Statement for our Association. PACM’s Mission Statement is to provide education, training and services to advance professionalism in the Pennsylvania Courts. Our Vision Statement is to be the most professional, collegial and exceptional state association in the country.
We, as your Board of Directors, believe in our Mission and Vision Statements and strive to provide the best education and training possible at each conference to advance that professionalism in our Courts.
PACM, as an association, and we, as your Board of Directors, derive our authority to govern from our Supreme Court, the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts and from you, the members, who have elected us to serve your needs.
PACM’s directors and the Professional Development Committee, in conjunction with the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, meet monthly to find educational programs that will benefit our members and help them in their ability to be better administrators and leaders.
While PACM’s mission is to provide quality education to its members, I believe that education is a two way street. Each one of us has special skills and talents that benefit our court systems and can benefit our Association. Good ideas don’t always start at the top and filter down. Quite often better, more efficient and more effective ways of doing things percolate up. Every PACM member has that “something” that can benefit our organization.
We have thirteen (13) standing committees ranging from Budget & Finance to Jury Management to Public Relations to Technology. I urge you to join a committee. You will help us as an Association and you will grow as a PACM member.
We also have excellent Regional Directors. Please contact them with any questions, concerns or ideas for future conference topics. In addition, more senior members of our organization are always willing to guide and assist newer members on any type of issue.
Finally, we, as your officers, and I, as your President, will always try our best to help each of you with any issue that comes your way. By working together, I am confident that we will be the most professional, collegial and exceptional state association in the country.
